Muhimu started with a sketchbook, not a spreadsheet.
We're a loungewear and ready-to-wear label based in Nakuru, Kenya, built on the belief that comfort and boldness aren't opposites. Every print in our collection begins as a hand-drawn sketch — loose, expressive, a little imperfect on purpose — before it's brought to life on fabric you can actually live your life in.
At the center of it all is a simple idea: Black girl joy, worn loud. Pieces made for the woman who wants to feel soft and seen at the same time — at home, on a Sunday, at brunch with the girls.
